Fire Destroys Home, Family of 6 Homeless

Pueblo Fire crews responded to the call of a structure fire in the 2400 block of E. 4th Street.

Upon arrival, crews found a mobile home structure fully involved in flames. The fire was spreading to adjacent homes, which ultimately were saved by firefighters. The second structure, which was vacant, suffered heat and smoke damage. A third had minor damage.

The original home was completely destroyed by the fire. A family of 6, 5 being children, recently moved into the home and are displaced.

The cause of the fire that apparently originated in one of the rear bedrooms is under investigation.

One person may have been transported to a local hospital with minor injuries; no other information on that patient is available at this time. No firefighters were injured.

A dollar loss is unavailable at this time.
