3 Chapman University Films Now Up in PBS Online Film Festival ...

Today through March 22, the PBS Online Film Festival presents the works of directors plucked from the Los Angeles 48-hour film project, the California Student Media Festival, the LA Film Festival's Future Filmmakers Showcase, and Chapman University's own Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Those who selected films for the final lineup were not told from where the submissions came, and in the end, three from the Orange campus were selected, according to a PBS spokesman.

The Chapman films in the second annual PBS Online Film Festival are:

Description: The Montelone family must fight cystic fibrosis every day, but their passion for love, life and surfing allows them to get through the uncertainty. Samantha Andre co-directed and edited, Carly Berryhill co-directed and shot it, and Matthew Jekowsky co-directed and produced.

Dive into the world of Carlos Eyles, ocean photographer, to discover the powerful connection between humankind and the seas that surround us. The filmmakers, all current undergrads, are Ruby Stocking, Jose Tadeu Bijos, Michael Barth and Pasqual Guiterrez.

A young Native American woman deals with the struggles of college away from her reservation. Brendan Nahmias co-produced and directed, and Paul Hextall co-produced.

Viewers can vote for their favorite short film through March 22, with the top vote-getter receiving the People's Choice Award in April.
