International Football: Sangweni expects strong start for South Africa

South Africa defender Siyabonga Sangweni expects his side to win their opening AFCON 2013 fixture against Cape Verde.

Sangweni admits the Bafana Bafana have struggled for goals of late but is confident his side can win the tournament's opening fixture and make a strong start to their African Cup of Nations campaign.
The host nation have been drawn alongside Cape Verde, Angola and Morocco, and Sangweni remains confident South Africa can take maximum points when they take on Cape Verde.
He told soccerladuma.co.za: "We haven't scored much in the friendly games but we know the situation is different on Saturday. We have to score and win.
"It really doesn't matter who scores, but the win is what is important. We are all national team players and we want our country to be happy, so we will do what is the best for the country and that is to win.
"Just as supporters and the whole country want a win, we also want a win and that's why we will win on Saturday."
